We are engaged in active discussions with Conway Regional Medical Center with the goal of reaching an agreement that is affordable while ensuring continued network access to the health system

If we are unable to reach an agreement, Conway’s facilities and providers will be out of network for our Medicare Advantage plans, including Group Retiree and our Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP), effective Sept. 1, 2025.

This negotiation does not impact our contract with Conway’s facilities and providers for people enrolled in our employer-sponsored commercial plans and Medicaid plans. Those contracts remain in effect with no change.

Our top priority is to establish a long-term relationship with Conway that provides continued, uninterrupted network access to the health system for people enrolled in our Medicare Advantage plans.

We are committed to utilizing the time remaining on our contract to engage in good-faith negotiation and are actively working with the health system to explore solutions.

Nothing changes for now. Our Medicare Advantage members continue to have network access to Conway through August 31, 2025.

In the event Conway leaves our network, people enrolled in our Group Retiree Medicare Advantage PPO plans may still receive care from a Conway facility as an out-of-network provider, if they are a Medicare-approved provider that accepts the plan. Their share of the cost will be the same as if they were part of the network for some or all services.

The reimbursement to care providers who don’t participate in our Group Retiree PPO network is the same as what they receive for treating patients enrolled in Original Medicare. The vast majority of providers nationwide who don’t participate in our Medicare Advantage network agree to provide care for our Medicare Advantage Group Retiree PPO plan.

We encourage UnitedHealthcare Group Retiree Medicare Advantage members to speak with Conway to confirm whether they’ll continue to see them at their hospitals on and after Sept. 1, 2025, regardless of their network status.
